Just got a turbo-back exhaust; does it have a break in period?
I bought the system b/c the stock cat needed replacing
the exhaust cost about $1000 and is supposed to be more quiet then others.
it's a bit louder then I'd like
my question is do exhausts have a break in period
like will the sound change tone after I've had it a few weeks?
( turbo-back just means it includes the catilytic converter and downpipe connecting to the exhaust as well as the muffler)
car is 2001 vw jetta 1.8T with APR 93 OCT programming
and now the full 304 stainless steel APR Turbo back exhaust
( Audi Performance Racing)
no break in for exhaust systems,though the tone may change as the muffler eventually wears out.
saab 2000 9-5 aero 3" downpipe and 2.5" catback exhaust
