Acura was launched by Honda in 1986 as a specialized brand which could manufacture cars which appealed to the niche of up market buyers. The Integra was the first model to be launched under this brand. This hatchback had a sporty feel to it and made it clear that Acura was determined about delivering a car with an excellent engine worthy of applaud and appreciation.
