How do i make my BOV louder?
Its a 1984 Thunderbird 2.3L twin turbo.
You cant hear the blow off valve at all, how do i make it louder?
I guess its stock, sorry. How do i vent it?
You don't have an atmospheric BOV. Yours recirculates the air back into the intake system. The only options you have are getting a BOV upgrade and releasing it in the air instead of recirculating it. However be warned it will probably run funny and may not run at all being that old of a car. You can also try to find a aftermarket air intake system with an open element. If you want to know what that sounds like, take your factory air box cover off, take out the filter and drive down the street until you hit boost and let off. You will hear a sshhh sound. The atmospeheric ones will give you the loud PPPSSSSHHHH, but are about $400 for a good BOV and depending on whether you can find one for your car maybe another $400 in labor to install it.
